Music Executive: Stonebwoy Can Pack The O2 Arena.

According to music industry executive Heavy D, Stonebwoy can pack the 20,000-seat O2 Arena in London, UK, after “three to six months’ promotion.”

“Stonebwoy can pull it off; he’s worked with Angelique Kidjo on music,” he said.

He thought about other famous Ghanaian musicians who could pack the legendary arena.

He asserted, “Even Shatta Wale can pull it off by himself.” Yes, he does have the hits. He is a strong individual.

He suggested that Sarkodie’s situation would require “mass appeal,” saying that “it’d be a bit tough for him singlehandedly.”

Heavy D believes that singers are more likely than rappers to amass enormous followings.

“Stonebwoy has a lot more musical flexibility, in my opinion. It’s true that Sarkodie is a rapper. In that [region], [singers have a slight advantage over rappers], that’s what I’m talking about,” he asserted.

As a headliner, Sarkodie can fill the O2 Arena, but the music and events executive hinted that he could need assistance from other bands to do it.

When he stated previously, “Anything is possible,” he emphasized. Marketing and advertising are all that are needed.

But, he said, “I think Stonebwoy will have it much easier than him.”

In order for “you grow the following from there” and “maybe in a year or two, you can pull it [O2 and others] off,” he counseled musicians to plan yearly performances at foreign locations.

Prince Benjamin (PB) and the former Joy FM star had a conversation on Accra 100.5 FM’s Entertainment Capital.
