Never Wed Someone You Haven’t Dated For Longer Than Seven Years. – TiC

With his latest marital advise, Ghanaian artist Nana Kweku Okyere Duah, better known by his stage name TiC (previously Tic Tac), has ignited a dialogue.

On May 1, 2024, the Hiplife musician posted on social media to discuss what he sees as the cornerstone of a happy marriage.

TiC advised everyone thinking about getting married to date their future spouses for seven years before making the big decision to tie the knot in his post.

“Never wed someone you haven’t dated for longer than seven years. “Thank you later,” wrote TiC Tac

 

Fans and followers of TiC responded to his advice on social media in a variety of ways; some questioned his position, while others agreed.

TiC started his musical career in 1997 and gained recognition for his distinctive voice, which was frequently likened to Busta Rhymes. Collaborations with musicians such as Slim Buster and Azigiza brought him notoriety, and his first album, “Philomena,” became a big hit in Ghana.

He has received multiple Ghana Music Awards over the years, including Musician of the Year in 2004. He is well-known for his successful songs, such as “Menka Bio (Shordy),” and his worldwide partnerships, which have expanded his fan base.
