Updated Burial Date For Koda Is Announced By The Family

The funeral plans for the deceased artist Kofi Dua Anto, better known by his stage name KODA, from Ghana have been moved to September 20, 2024.

The new date, which was previously set for July 5, 2024, was revealed by KODA’s family in a recent Facebook post.

“We wish to inform all well-wishers, friends, ministry partners, and the general public that the date for the celebration of life for our beloved brother Kofi Dua Anto has been changed from 5th July 2024 to 20th September 2024,” the family stated.

A private burial ceremony will take place after the funeral service at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) Dominion Centre on Spintex Road in Accra.

KODA, who was well-known for his production and vocal contributions to Ghanaian music, departed this life on Sunday, April 21, 2024, following a brief illness. His wife and three children survive him; he was forty-five years old.

His well-known songs, including as “Nsempii,” “Nkwa Abodoo,” “Yapai,” and “Adorso,” have had a long-lasting influence on Ghanaian music.
