YesGhanaOnline has reported that Ghanaians carrying standard passports and diplomatic passports can now fly to China, Iran, Honduras, Equatorial Guinea, Hungary and Morocco without a visa.
Parliament accepted the visa waiver deal on Friday before the weekend holiday was taken by MPs. Foreign Minister sent the documents for authorization to the legislature.
This comes after the Department of Home Affairs of South Africa has attached Ghana to a list of seven countries whose citizens will be granted visa-free entry into South Africa. In September 2018, South Africa confirmed that it had signed a series of visa waiver agreements with other countries, including Ghana, to enable travellers to enter the country without a visa.
The South African visa waiver covered only diplomatic passport but not ordinary passport officeholders.
