Singer Wendy Shay has been talking about some benefits since she signed RuffTown Records on a record label just two years ago.
The ‘Uber Driver’ hit singer was asked what material things she could boast of having acquired since she was signed by her record label, RuffTown Records.
“Wendy, since you’ve signed to RuffTown Records, what’s that one thing you’ve acquired musically for yourself, that you can say I’ve got this camera or I’ve got this rug…” she was questioned during a TV Africa interview.
“You mean the material things,” she said in an attempt to clarify the question.
“I have so many things to do. Too many of them. Woo. Woo. I mean, I can actually buy the latest iPhone that’s in town right now. I mean, I’ve got a bunch of stuff, camera, iPad, I mean, stuff that every girl in my era is going to need I have cash to purchase all that stuff, “said the singer.
That wasn’t all of it. The host questioned further, “What is your value?””Oh, I haven’t checked, I think I’ve got to check it online,” she responded quickly.
These reactions have provoked criticism and assaults from the public sector. This is not the first time a section of the public is attacking Wendy Shay.
Late last year, she generated backlash after she described JoyNews’ MzGee’s question as “dumb.”
In July of this year, the singer, Ambassador to the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), apologised for posting a picture of former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s public ridicule.
