After seeing ex-teammate Scott Parker lead Fulham in the English Premier League, former Ghana defender John Paintsil has revealed that he is encouraged to continue his coaching courses.
After working as an assistant at South African side Kaizer Chiefs while preparing for his qualifications, Paintsil has been training to become a coach. The former West Ham defender came close to leading Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League, but a deal was not reached due to last-minute hitches
We have seen how Scott Parker qualified Fulham for the Championship Premier League, “he said.”
He was my teammate and we’re motivated by these people.
“He was a teammate once and he could do this, so I can see myself doing the same thing.”
In the top-flight, John Paintsil has yet to lead a team, but remains confident of becoming a successful gaffer.
