Kuami Eugene, the singer and songwriter of Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeats, has finally released his ‘Son of Africa’ album.
There are 14 solid bangers on the album released on Friday, October 9, featuring both Ghanaian and foreign musicians.
Those featured include Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Obaapa Christy, Samini, Prince Bright, DJ Mensah, Nigeria’s Zlatan and Falz and Eddy Kenzo from Uganda.
The album was produced by Richie Mensah, Wilis Beatz and Kuami Eugene himself.
As fans are already in love with the album and are trooping in congratulatory messages to Kwame Eugene after the publication, Son of Africa is already making waves on all online and social media platforms.
In a tweet, Kuami Eugene told fans, “I can never thank you enough for the support you have all shown me. It is highly respected your effort to help me make this beautiful album possible.”
His few years in the music industry seem to be good years as he has won several nominations and awards, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Artiste of the Year 2020, the Ghana Music Awards’ New Artiste Awards in 2018 and the Ghana Music Awards UK, Highlife Artiste of the Year, Producer of the Year, Album of the Year, among others.
This is the second album that he released in December 2018 after releasing his debut album ‘Rockstar’.
