Kweku Baako Throws Weight Behind Randy Abbey For GFA Vice President Position

Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, a seasoned reporter, has put his weight behind Randy Abbey to become the next Ghana Football Association vice president.

The founder of the Heart of Lions is the best person for the veep job because of his extensive experience in the game, according to the editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide.

Talking about the Veep role on Metro TV, Kweku Baako maintained that Randy Abbey has the skill and experience to fill the affiliation with that gap.

“I know the president is yet to name his vice president but he will need somebody who is competent and with much experience in football governance to fill that position,” he said.

“I have heard a lot of names but for me, Randy Abbey is the best person for that position. We have known him for his good works and I know the president [Kurt Okraku] will trust him,” he added.

The award winning journalist also warned Kurt Okraku to be careful with the internal politics at the Football Association.

“I will caution the president to be careful with the politics in football. He should make sure he does not engulf himself in the internal poiltics because it can cause problems for him.”

Randy emerged tops with the highest votes during the Executive Council election for representatives of Division One clubs.

The popular TV anchor has been touted as the favourite to deputies Kurt Okraku who was voted into power as GFA President on Friday, October 25.
