Bawumia Pledges To Pay Nursing Trainee Allowance On Schedule.

Nursing students have received assurances from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia that they will always receive their trainee allowances on schedule.

According to a story on citinewsroom.com, Dr. Bawumia stated that there will be no more instances where nurses’ allowances are behind schedule.

“We fixed the allowances for ourselves. They canceled the alawa for other persons. We’re going to keep putting in a lot of effort. Additionally, I’m going to keep a watch on your alawa so we can make sure it consistently appears. That will be guaranteed to you. I’m going to continue to monitor it. Speaking to nursing students in the Savannah Region, the vice president declared, “We are going to change this country.”

At a similar engagement on Tuesday, May 14, the vice president gave assurances to midwives and nurses in Accra that GH¢177 million will be disbursed on May 16 to clear the arrears owed to nursing trainees.

“The Controller is transferring GH¢177 million to the Ministry of Health this Thursday to pay the nursing training allowances,” he stated. In order to ensure that the nursing trainees receive their allowances, I have also informed Dr. Okoe-Boye to be on guard when the funds arrive in the Ministry of Health account. It will fall.
