Sowah Odotei, A Board Member Of Hearts Of Oak, Will Run For La Dade-Kotopon MP Once More.

Former La Dade-Kotopon Member of Parliament (MP) for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vicent Sowah Odotei, also known as Obama, has declared his intention to run as an independent in the 2024 elections.

With this announcement, he enters the campaign for the parliamentary seat representing the constituency with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s driver, Joseph Addo, and current MP Rita Odoley Sowah.

The Accra Hearts of Oak board member said that his motivation for running was a desire to finish the development projects he started while serving as mayor.

“I am coming back to help the constituency, I did a lot for them, and I aim to continue the good work,” he stated in an exclusive interview with YES Ghana Online, expressing his determination to going back to finish the work he started.

In order to participate in the seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic, he defeated Nii Amasah Namoale, the then-NDC MP, in the 2016 elections. However, Rita Odoley won the seat in the 2020 elections.

A document detailing some of the development initiatives he intends to take on in his candidacy for a second term is attached.
