Baffour Gyan And Asamoah Gyan Argue Over Who Has A Deeper Affection For Asante Kotoko

Asamoah and Baffour Gyan, the brothers Gyan, argued over who had a stronger affection for Asante Kotoko.

Baffour raised the dispute in an interview on Pure FM, saying that he does not understand why Asamoah consistently professes to love Kotoko more than he does.

I’m not sure why, but he seems to be upset with me. He said, ‘He says he loves Kotoko more than me.

“But this argument, haven’t I already won? Asamoah answered, “You know you love Kotoko just as much as I do.”

Baffour claimed that because he had played for Kotoko, his devotion to the team could not be compared to Asamoah’s.

I used to play for Kotoko. You’ve never played for Kotoko, therefore you’re not familiar with the experience.”

In response to Baffour’s assertion, Asamoah said that Kotoko gave him a jersey at the expense of the other player.

“When Kotoko came to Accra, who did they present the jersey to?” he said.

Baffour replied, “The thing is, you haven’t played for Kotoko before, so I decided that they should give you the jersey for you to feel how wearing a Kotoko jersey feels like.”

“You never played for them; you are simply a fan. Thus, I’ll demonstrate to you how we work,” he continued.

The Gyan brothers made an appearance on the program before to the All-Regional Games, a competition that Asamoah is in charge of organizing.

Asamoah Gyan, who acknowledged in a prior interview that Kotoko is his favorite club, has never disguised his passion for the team.

In the latter stages of his career, the all-time top scorer for the Black Stars was on the verge of signing a contract with Kotoko, but the agreement fell through. In the end, he signed with Legon Cities.

In the meantime, Baffour Gyan’s penultimate club before retiring was Kotoko. He joined the team in 2010 and played for only one season before moving to Al-Nasr SC Benghazi in Libya.
