Black Stars Should Bench Dede Ayew And Daniel Amartey, Coach Nimley Says Otto Addo

Coach Christopher Nimley of Ghana has praised Black Stars coach Otto Addo’s rumored decision to gradually rotate out the team’s veteran players.

Christopher Nimley voiced the opinion that certain Black Stars players should be benched because they are becoming disruptive on the team in an interview with Happy FM.

He underlined the significance of replacing the squad’s aging, underperforming players with younger ones, stressing that inclusion in the team should be based on unity and performance.

He named center-back Daniel Amartey and Black Stars skipper Andre Dede Ayew as two players who have served their time and ought to be benched.

“Any member of this team who cannot ensure a steady performance should be removed from the team. Players like 18-year veteran Andre Dede Ayew and Daniel Amartey would be cut if I were in charge of this team.

His remarks come in the wake of rumors that team coach Otto Addo told senior players Andre Ayew, Daniel Amartey, Thomas Partey, and others that they were no longer a part of his plans for the team.

Otto Addo reportedly told the aforementioned players in separate meetings that the club would be constructed around young, talented players, according to a report by Angel FM.

On June 6, the Black Stars will play Mali in Bamako. On June 10, they will play the Central African Republic at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars roster for the two games the following week is anticipated to be announced by Otto Addo.
