Charles Taylor: “Hearts And Kotoko Are Not Big Teams.”

Charles Taylor Asampong, a former Ghana international, has lamented Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko’s dismal results in the domestic league, saying the two teams are no longer major players.

Both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have had difficulties in the current domestic league season. The Porcupine Warriors have also won two, lost two, and drawn once in their previous five games, whereas the Phobians have won two and lost three of those games.

Charles Taylor, a former player for both Hearts of Oak 12 and Asante Kotoko 10, believes that their supporters should receive an apology from their respective teams given the slim point differential between them.

He mentioned that Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are both fully finished with their seasons.

“Kotoko and Hearts have both concluded their seasons. He said on Angel TV, “They have to apologize to their fans; they have let them down.”

I can now state that Hearts and Kotoko are major clubs, not major teams. They no longer have a team, but they have established themselves as a club,” Taylor continued.

According to Taylor, the two sides’ troubles are akin to having two lousy pupils who would always fail. Both Kotoko and Hearts lose when you look at their respective results. The players are not worthy of donning these two clubs’ shirts.

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will play in the Ghana Premier League at Baba Yara Stadium.
