Four Asante Kotoko Stars Who Premier League Teams Will Be Clamoring For

11 players from Asante Kotoko have officially left the team after a dismal 2023–2024 Ghana Premier League season.

The Porcupine Warriors have started a team rebuilding process in an effort to improve their performance the next season.

The most successful club in Ghana, the Reds, ended sixth with 49 points, having won 14 games and lost an incredible 13 of them.

Due to their appalling performance, the club released eleven players who barely made an impression on the team.

Five players on the list have been singled out by Yes Ghana Online as being of exceptional quality and likely to command a high transfer market demand.

Danlad Ibrahim

Danlad Ibrahim, 21, is thought to be among Ghana’s top young goalkeepers. He has risen above many other local goalkeepers thanks to his advancement with the national team from the U-17 to the Black Stars.

For a lot of teams, it would be a coup to sign Danlad for nothing.

Mfegue George

In his first two seasons with Kotoko, forward George Mfegue of Cameroon became one of the league’s best attackers.

Nevertheless, in his third season with Prosper Ogum, he was unable to get any playing time.

In his first campaign with Kotoko, Mfegue won the league and was regarded as one of the team’s top forwards.

Isaac Oppong

One of the best wingers in the Ghana Premier League is Isaac Oppong. But his chronic ailments have masked his potential.

After his incredible run with Kotoko in his debut season, which helped them win the league, he has struggled to stay injury-free in the subsequent two seasons.

Agyapong Augustine

One of Ghana Premier League’s best U-23 right backs is Augustine Agyapong. He played for Asante Kotoko for two seasons.

He represented the Ghana U-20 team and the Black Galaxies, the local Black Stars, when he was a member of the Reds.

He had a successful run and showed excellent talents up until the end of the season when he was injured.
