Ghana Will Learn Its Group Opponents Today For The AFCON 2025 Qualifiers

Today, July 4, 2024, the Ghana national team will find out who their opponents are in their group for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.

The fate of the 48 teams competing for a seat in the coveted competition will be decided by a draw that will take place in the SuperSport studios in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In order to advance to the competition, which will take place in Morocco from December 2025 to January 2026, Ghana—four-time AFCON title winners—will be hoping for a favorable draw.

The qualification series, which will get underway in September 2024, will be a vital step in the Black Stars’ quest for redemption after they were eliminated from the group stage of previous tournaments.

Ghana is keen to bring back its illustrious past since their last AFCON victory was in Libya in 1982.

Ghanaian football is entering a new era, and the Black Stars intend to put their past setbacks behind them and challenge for the 2025 AFCON championship.

The first step in accomplishing this goal will be a favorable draw on Thursday.
