Ghana Will Play Sudan Under Coach Kwesi Appiah In The AFCON 2025 Qualifiers

In the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, Ghana will play Sudan, which is led by former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.

The Black Stars participated in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers on July 4, 2024, and were grouped with Angola, Sudan, and Niger.

In 2023, Kwesi Appiah was named Sudan’s head coach.

Kwesi Appiah has guided Sudan to an outstanding winning streak in the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches since taking over.

Currently leading the group are giants like Senegal and D.R. Congo, is the Sudanese team.

Kwesi Appiah had a distinguished career with the Black Stars, having played and coached for them.

In 2014, he became the first Ghanaian coach to secure Ghana’s spot in the World Cup.

Otto Addo, a former player and current Black Stars coach, is leading Ghana and will be looking to get the nation into the 2025 AFCON.

Morocco will host the 2025 AFCON, which is scheduled to happen in December or January.
