Following the draw on Thursday, July 4, 2024, Ghanaians on social media, particularly X (Twitter), are getting ready for Ghana’s match versus Sudan in the 2025 African Cup qualifiers.
For the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers, the Black Stars have been assigned to Group F together with Angola, Sudan, and Niger.
One of the most anticipated matches in the qualifications is Ghana vs. Sudan, which is led by former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.
As a kind of payback for the unfair treatment he endured while playing for the Black Stars, many Ghanaians think Kwesi Appiah will have a lot to show.
A few people worry that Angola poses a greater threat than Ghana, while others think the group is the easiest Ghana could have wished for.
Kwesi Appiah had a distinguished career with the Black Stars, having played and coached for them.
In 2014, he became the first Ghanaian coach to secure Ghana’s spot in the World Cup.
In 2023, Kwesi Appiah was named Sudan’s head coach.
Kwesi Appiah has guided Sudan to an outstanding winning run in the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament since taking over.
Currently leading the group are heavyweights like Senegal and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is the Sudanese team.
