How Wasiru Mohammed Ended Michael Tetteh’s Four-Year Banishment By Knocking Him Out In Round Five

On Saturday, June 29, 2024, Ghanaian world title contender Wasiru Mohammed celebrated his comeback to the ring by defeating Michael Akramah Tetteh via fifth-round knockout.

Mohammed, a former WBO Africa Super-bantamweight champion and WBO Global champion known by his nicknames “Son of the Lion” or “Gyata Bi,” once again proved his superiority in the ring.

He looked sharp as he delivered another knockout, even after a protracted layoff. Making a powerful comeback, Wasiru used the ring to punish his opponent and establish his authority.

When Tetteh was hit hard by a heavy blow in the fourth round, the unbeaten boxer strongly cautioned Tetteh.

But in the fifth round, Wasiru made the decision to stop the fight with a forceful blow that knocked Tetteh out.

Wasiru’s victory was his 13th straight since being professional. In 13 fights, he had a stellar knockout percentage of 12 victories.

One of the boxers predicted to win a world title for Ghana is Wasiru.
