According to reports, Liverpool has entered the strong competition among Premier League teams to recruit Victor Osimhen.
Liverpool is reportedly interested in the 16-goal scorer and may compete with other English teams for his signature, according to Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness.
If a buyer matches Osimhen’s massive €130 million release clause, Napoli, his current club, would be forced to sell, albeit they are firm about not considering offers below this amount.
Osimhen is being pursued by Liverpool in the midst of a difficult time for the team. Fans were unhappy at their team’s recent eliminations from the FA Cup, Europa League, and Premier League title fight, despite their initial dreams for a quadruple.
After receiving criticism for their use of Darwin Nunez as a striker, Liverpool looked at strengthening their attacking squad, reportedly showing interest in Viktor Gyokeres.
