Nsoatreman Wants To Name CK Akonnor As Their Next Head Coach, According To A Report

According to a report from Womtumi Radio, Ghana Premier League team Nsoatreman FC is reportedly considering hiring CK Akonnor, the former head coach of the Ghana national team, to be their new head coach.

This action comes after Maxwell Konadu’s recent departure. Konadu will now become the head coach of Black Leopards, a South African club, for a period of three years.

Former Ghana international CK Akonnor was fired as head coach of the national team just before the Cameroonian 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Since then, he has been without a coaching employment.

Although Akonnor took a break from leading the team, he might take it back in 2024–2025 when he gets hired by Nsoatreman FC.

Akonnor’s coaching background includes winning the CAF Confederation Cup group stage in 2019 while leading Kumasi Asante Kotoko in continental competition.

Retaining Akonnor’s services could be essential for Nsoatreman FC to make a lasting impression on the African football scene as they prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup debut.
