See How Black Stars Goalies Are Trained By Fatau Dauda To Handle Cut-Back Crosses

Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Mali, Black Stars goalkeeper trainer Fatau Dauda taught the goalkeepers how to defend cut-back crosses.

The former Ashanti Gold goalie instructed the goalkeepers on how to position themselves optimally to handle cut-back crosses in a video posted on X (previously Twitter).

The goalkeepers’ positioning instructions for angled shots were also demonstrated on camera.

The two goalkeepers seen during the drill were Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Wollacott; Frederick Asare was not there.

Asare was recalled by his team Asante Kotoko for their league match against Great Olympics on Sunday, June 2, 2024, after missing the session.

Today, June 4, is likely to see the Black Stars leave Ghana for their qualifier against Mali.

The squad will practice in Bamako on Wednesday before playing the Eagles at the Stade du 26 Mars on Thursday, June 6.
