To Prepare For The Olympics, We Need Funding And Time. – Ghana’s 4×100 Relay Team

The 4×100 Relay Team from Ghana has fervently asked for additional funding and time to help them prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games, which will be held in July in Paris.

The group, which included Ibrahim Fuseini, Joseph Paul Amoah, Benjamin Azamati, and Isaac Botsio, became the first from Ghana to earn a spot at the Olympics in Paris.

The team won their heat in the World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas, securing their qualification in fine fashion.

A medal in athletics would be the ultimate desire for many Ghanaians, who have achieved their objective of qualifying for the Summer Games. However, there will be a price for Ghana’s 4×100 Relay Team to pay for this dream.

Speaking following their qualification, the team asked for additional time and funding to ensure they were ready for the competition.

Benjamin Azamati said, “The other countries, Denmark, Great Britain, and the others, had two weeks of camping in Florida prior to these games. We want money,” the young Ibrahim Fuseini uttered. However, we only had one day to train because we were only scheduled to run on Saturday, and these are the guys we fight against. We arrived here only on Thursday.

Thus, Azamati told Joy Sports, “we need that much ample time to prepare and face these countries, and of course, it comes with money.”

“We need ample time and resources,” stated Joseph Paul Amoah, echoing the team’s request once more.

Ghana will send two athletes to the Olympics, Benjamin Azamati and Joseph Paul Amoah, and they want to make a lasting impression in Paris.
