Under New Coach Jose Mourinho, Alexander Djiku Begins Preseason Play

Alexander Djiku, a defender from Ghana, is about to start his preseason training at Fenerbahce in Turkey, where he will be coached by the legendary Jose Mourinho.

Djiku’s outstanding debut season at Fenerbahce has attracted a lot of interest from the team. With an incredible three goals and two assists in 36 games, the 29-year-old center back was a vital member of the team.

Mourinho, who is renowned for his tactical understanding, is anticipated to collaborate closely with Djiku to help him develop even further. With this hiring, the Portuguese manager will make his debut in Turkish football, adding Turkey to his already remarkable coaching résumé, which also includes positions in Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain.

After losing to rivals Galatasaray by just three points for the Turkish championship, Fenerbahce decided to fire their previous manager, Ismail Kartal.

With his move to Fenerbahce, Mourinho will have coached eleven clubs in his storied career. His two stints as manager of Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester United in the Premier League would surely provide the Turkish club with new insight.

With the new season drawing near, all eyes will be on Djiku and his ability to adjust to Mourinho’s coaching philosophy.
