Also, part of the vision was to improve poverty among themselves. Ensuring a better future for women and children in the Upper west region and beyond. Ensuring a better future for women and children in the Upper west region and beyond. It also aims at helping people from the rural areas lacking basic social needs such as food, clothing etc.
The Diamond Foundation paid a visit to a family of three. Three of the children were blind. The family were located at Tanziri, Nyoli, a community in the WA – west of the Upper West Region of Ghana. The children were cared for by their mother. The first child, Gloria is 16 years old then Peter who is 12 years of then lastly child Gordon is 5 years old.
Their mum and uncle revealed to them that the children were born blind. Their father also abandoned them because of their condition.Mum and uncle who are farmers occasionally carry garden sticks to the market for sale for a living of which they normally make an amount of 3Ghc.
If they make 3.00Ghc daily it is used to suffice for a meal in a day. This makes feeding, clothing and other basic needs they need very tough. The Diamond foundation hopes to visit this needy and disabled family on the 2/05/20. They would like to donate some basic things to them.
The foundation therefore pleads with the general public, individuals, compassionate organizations to help them support the families with foodstuffs, toiletries, detergents and other necessities.
